CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & COMPANY SECRETARY

Paul is a qualified accountant (CGMA, CMA, CPA. MAAT) and brings to the team over 20 years of Australian and International experience in a number of key financial roles at both ASX listed and private companies. Paul comes to the team with a strong financial, commercial and business analytical skills combined with proven effective leadership of finance teams. Paul has significant experience in managing working capital requirements of growth businesses with an international footprint. Paul is a member of Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants & Association of Accounting Technicians.

Ray Johnson

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Founder of Australian Fire Industries, Ray’s drive to introduce technologies that prioritise and maintain comprehensive fire protection and fire safety is integral to AFI’s reputation and success as an industry leader. Ray’s two decades of fire safety and security experience includes the role of Chubb Fire Safety North West Inland Manager from 2005-09 and spanned looking after the Rio Tinto Iron Ore Maintenance Contract. After this he held the role of Fire and Security Manager at Paull & Warner Resources from 2009-13, a position that included starting the Fire division and also management of FMG Fire Systems maintenance and expansion projects. Ray’s expansive specialist knowledge, management skills, leadership experience, and customer-focused approach with clients across an array of industries has made him a thought leader in the field of innovative fire protection.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Nick’s management skills and leadership combined with fire protection technical knowledge and experience are a core component of AFI’s ever-expanding client base. With an eye for innovation and ability to facilitate the adoption and implementation of world-leading technologies, Nick consistently ensures the operations team delivers premium quality compliance and services within the clients budget and timeline. Past roles include Contract Manager for Chubb Fire Safety from 2007-11, handling all major projects, followed by 2 years as Vehicle Suppression Manager at Paull & Warner Resources, addressing technician and customer needs. Nick’s dedication to fire industry excellence and ongoing effective utilisation of business recourses are key contributors to AFI’s expanded contracts with industry leaders across numerous sectors.

CHAIRMAN & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

An extensively experienced and practical executive in the engineering industry with over 20 years service, more specifically in the oil and gas sector, since 1988. The experience has been gained through a wide array of projects throughout Australia and Overseas working in the area of Design, System Analyzing, Commissioning and Construction before commencing in Business Development and then finally Company Management and Directorships. Jason has gained extensive experience in line and project management roles and more particularly in change management, people development and team motivation. He has extensive experience leading and working in teams associated with design, construction and commissioning of world scale capital projects in both ‘brownfields’ and ‘greenfields’ scenarios.

With over 27 years in business and in the Energy and Utilities industries including Oil & Gas. Although well qualified in information technology majoring in software development and project management Greg has now focused on the business management, governance and risk management and development aspects of companies for the past 20 years.

A variety of positions have given him a broad range of experience from technical, architectural and project management through business, governance, risk, financial management and sales and development management. Having successfully started, developed and sold several companies forming the main stay of international companies within Australia post acquisition, his business management and development experience now exceeds 25 years.

Greg has established several successful businesses from concept to revenues in excess of $250M, as well as taking established lines of business in a major corporate through significant growth to revenues in excess of $250M.

Anthony Connor

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

A qualified lawyer and former managing partner of a top ten Australian law firm in Perth Western Australia, Anthony has many years’ experience in banking law, intellectual property and commercial transactions for public companies. He has extensive commercial experience in corporate transactions as Corporate Counsel of Challenge Bank/ Westpac and then an investment bank. Anthony is presently working with a national electrical engineering company providing services to the rail, mining and industrial sectors.

Stuart C. McLeod

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Stuart works closely with the AFI team and company investors to drive change and business growth. His deep understanding of the Oil & Gas sector and its particular challenges is drawn from over 20 years’ experience working as an award-winning entrepreneur. It has earned him a hard-won reputation for success.

While still in his 20s, Stuart demonstrated his aptitude for spotting a business opportunity when he established his first oil and gas service company in Azerbaijan. By 2005, he had grown the business into an international player and successfully secured its acquisition by a leading global energy PLC.

This experience honed Stuart’s leadership skills and lit his enthusiasm for technology businesses, which he continues to invest in and lead to this day, mainly in non-executive and board roles. Stuart remains firmly convinced that technology holds the keys to transformational change in the energy sector.
